About us

Namal Knowledge City is one of the largest educational projects in Asia that will take center stage in redefining Pakistan’s knowledge trajectory. The first breakthrough event that marked its development happened in 2008 with the establishment of Namal University by Mr. Imran Khan. Today this haven of education is supporting students coming from 71 districts of the country. 97% of the students are on need and merit-based scholarships.

Our journey

It was the beginning of a monumental vision; one that would forever shape the socio-economic landscape of Pakistan. But just like all great dreams, it started with a simple idea; offer education and training to the disadvantaged communities of Mianwali and let progress take its course. The vision was a result of Imran Khan’s persistent efforts in identifying new avenues of development for Pakistan.

Mission

To support Namal University in Pakistan by facilitating access to quality higher education for deserving students, particularly those from under-resourced regions. Namal College UK serves as a platform for the UK diaspora to contribute towards education, leadership, and sustainable development.

A border district between the province of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mianwali displays an interesting blend of cultures — Seven districts surround the region leading to a compound population of over 8 million people, for whom Namal University is the only higher education institution (within a 200km radius).
